01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GovGreed ("the Service," "we," "us," "our") at govgreed.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and API subscribers. Use of the Service constitutes acceptance.

02 Description of Service

GovGreed is a congressional trading intelligence platform that aggregates, analyzes, and presents publicly available federal data including:

• STOCK Act financial disclosures filed by Members of Congress
• Federal bill and legislative activity from Congress.gov
• Campaign contribution records from the Federal Election Commission (FEC)
• Lobbying filings from the Senate Lobbying Disclosure Act database
• SEC EDGAR insider trading filings (Form 4)
• Hedge fund 13F filings
• Derived analytics, signal scores, and AI-generated briefs based on the above

The Service includes a web dashboard, conversational AI interface, REST API, and automated social media content. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time.

03 Not Financial Advice

All content on GovGreed — including signal scores, tier ratings, greediness scores, backtest results, AI briefs, trade alerts, API outputs, and social media posts — is provided for informational and research purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Past performance of any signal, politician's trading pattern, or analytical model does not guarantee future results. Congressional trading data reflects legal disclosures made pursuant to the STOCK Act, not recommendations to buy or sell any security.

You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions. GovGreed is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial institution.

04 User Accounts

Some features require a registered account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. Guest access is provided as-is and may be revoked at any time.

05 API Access and Usage

API subscribers agree to the following additional terms:

• Rate limits: You may not exceed the rate limits associated with your API tier. Circumventing rate limits is grounds for immediate termination.
• Attribution: Applications built on GovGreed data must include attribution (e.g., "Powered by GovGreed" or "Data: govgreed.com") in user-facing interfaces.
• No redistribution: You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw GovGreed API data as a standalone product or data feed without written permission.
• No financial products: You may not use GovGreed API data as the sole basis for automated financial products, robo-advisors, or investment algorithms marketed to third parties without written agreement.
• Acceptable use: Research tools, personal trading alerts, journalistic investigation, academic research, and developer demos are acceptable uses.

API keys are non-transferable. Sharing API keys with third parties is prohibited. We reserve the right to revoke API access for misuse, abuse, or non-payment.

06 Automated Content & Third-Party Platforms

Our automated accounts comply with the terms of service of each respective platform:

• X (Twitter): Automated posts are made using the X API v2 under the Free tier (500 posts/month). We comply with the X Developer Agreement and Policy. Automated posts are labeled where required. We do not auto-reply to users without human review.
• Reddit: Posts comply with Reddit's API Terms of Service and each subreddit's posting rules. We do not operate bots designed to deceive other users.

All automated content is based on publicly available federal government data. We do not post misleading, manipulative, or spam content. Automated content is clearly associated with the GovGreed account and brand.

Data obtained through the X API is used solely for:

• Publishing GovGreed content to our own X account
• Monitoring replies and mentions directed at our own account for engagement review
• Compliance with X's Developer Agreement

We do not use X API data to track, profile, or analyze third-party users beyond what is necessary to manage our own account.

07 Data Sources & Accuracy

GovGreed aggregates data from public federal sources. All underlying data is sourced from official U.S. government databases and is subject to the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness limitations of those sources.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure data accuracy, but we do not guarantee that data is complete, current, or error-free. Congressional disclosures are filed by Members of Congress and their staff — we report what is disclosed, not what we independently verify.

Derived analytics (signal scores, correlations, AI briefs) are generated by proprietary models and represent our analytical interpretations of public data. They are not statements of fact about any individual's intent or conduct.

08 Prohibited Use

You may not use GovGreed to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data beyond what the API permits
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Harass, defame, or make false statements about any individual, including public officials
• Create market manipulation schemes, pump-and-dump operations, or coordinated trading rings
• Violate any applicable law, including securities laws, privacy laws, or computer fraud laws
• Impersonate GovGreed or any of its team members
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
• Use the Service in any way that could harm its integrity, security, or other users

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination, legal action, and reporting to relevant authorities.

09 Intellectual Property

The GovGreed platform, codebase, design, signal models, scoring algorithms, and AI-generated content are proprietary to GovGreed. Underlying federal government data is in the public domain.

You may reference, cite, and share individual data points with attribution (e.g., "Source: GovGreed / govgreed.com"). You may not reproduce the platform, copy the dashboard design, or clone the signal scoring system without written permission.

Journalists and researchers may freely use specific data findings with attribution. Press inquiries: team@govgreed.com.

10 Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOVGREED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INVESTMENT LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, OR DATA LOSS.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to GovGreed in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email (if you have an account) or a prominent notice on the Service.

Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Delaware.
