II 119th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 2211 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES July 8, 2025 Ms. Collins (for herself and Mrs. Shaheen ) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions A BILL To reauthorize the Special Diabetes Program for Type 1 Diabetes and the Special Diabetes Program for Indians. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Special Diabetes Program Reauthorization Act of 2025 . 2. Extension of programs (a) Special diabetes programs for type I diabetes Section 330B(b)(2) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 254c–2(b)(2) ) is amended— (1) in subparagraph (F), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; (2) in subparagraph (G), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3) by adding at the end the following: (H) $160,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027, to remain available until expended; and (I) $40,000,000 for the period beginning on October 1, 2027, and ending on December 31, 2027, to remain available until expended. . (b) Special diabetes program for Indians Section 330C(c)(2) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 254c–3(c)(2) ) is amended— (1) in subparagraph (F), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; (2) in subparagraph (G), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3) by adding at the end the following: (H) $160,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027, to remain available until expended; and (I) $40,000,000 for the period beginning on October 1, 2027, and ending on December 31, 2027, to remain available until expended. .
