Short title This Act may be cited as the Extreme Heat Emergency Act of 2025 . 2. Definition of major disaster Section 102(2) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act ( 42 U.S.C. 5122(2) ) is amended by inserting extreme heat, before or drought .
