R. 391 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES January 14, 2025 Mr. Khanna introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce A BILL To amend the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act to extend the deadline by which TikTok must be sold in order to avoid being banned. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Extend the TikTok Deadline Act . 2. Extension of deadline Section 2(a)(2)(A) of the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act ( 15 U.S.C. 9901 note; division H of Public Law 118–50 ) is amended by striking 270 days and inserting 540 days .
