R. 3680 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 3, 2025 Mr. Deluzio (for himself, Mr. Neguse , Mr. Ryan , Mrs. Sykes , Ms. Craig , and Ms. Scholten ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform A BILL To prohibit chief executive officers convicted of covered crimes from serving in the executive branch, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the No Corporate Crooks Act . 2. Restriction on service in the executive branch (a) Restriction (1) In general Any individual who served or was employed as a chief executive officer at an entity and was finally convicted of a covered crime shall be ineligible for appointment to a position in the executive branch. (2) Covered crime defined The term covered crime means any of the following: (A) Bribery. (B) Copyright infringement. (C) Corruption. (D) Cybercrime. (E) Embezzlement. (F) Fraud. (G) Insider trading. (H) Wage theft. (I) Tax evasion. (b) Penalty Any individual found in violation of this section shall be removed from service or employment in the executive branch.
