R. 3232 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 7, 2025 Mr. Cohen (for himself, Ms. Titus , and Ms. Scholten ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure A BILL To amend title 49, United States Code, to authorize appropriations for the Federal-State partnership for intercity passenger rail grant program, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Reauthorization Act . 2. Authorization of appropriations for Federal-State partnership for intercity passenger rail grants Section 24911(h) of title 49, United States Code, is amended to read as follows: (h) Authorization of appropriations (1) In general There is authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for use carrying out this section $7,500,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031, to remain available until expended. (2) Project management oversight expenses The Secretary may use up to 2 percent of amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) in a fiscal year to carry out project management oversight with respect to any grant program under this title authorized to be carried out in such fiscal year. .
